I.. I don’t even understand why somebody like this exists. I really hate the way this was written. So much ignorance on their part. There is nothing wrong with that scenario. Different, maybe, but not wrong. When did holding hands—regardless of gender—ever become offensive? And so what if there were a lot of people passing by? Why should they hide? I am infuriated by this. You’re given the opportunity to study in one of the best and brightest universities in the country and you still think like this? Taga-Ateneo ka ba talaga?
I’m speechless.
Kudos to the person who replied. I would have lost my temper had I been able to reply to this message (as it’s deleted now.) I’m sure if the name was clear I probably would have hunted him/her down and given him/her a piece of my mind. And a bruise.

I’m embarrassed by the fact that the person who posted that is an Atenean. :|
I don’t think this is forgivable at all. What kind of person were they raised to be? S/he might insist that it’s not homophobia, but calling it wrong already hints at how narrow-minded this person is. There was nothing wrong with that scenario.
I like keeping things on a lighter note in this blog, but this is something I feel strongly about. If you think there is something wrong with two guys holding hands and feel the need to tell them to hide it, please stop following me. I support the LGBTQ community, and rejoice with every victory they have.
Those of the same religion as me might freak out and say “Oh but homosexuality is a sin” and similar other exclamations. That is how they chose to live their lives, I have no right to tell them that they need to change. I will accept them as they are.
For the record, I’m straight. I am straight and I support the LGBTQ community.
